BREAKING: Browns Trading QB Kenny Pickett To Radiers

By Randy Oliver - August 25, 2025

The Cleveland Browns have decided to part ways with one of their five QBs.

Monday night, the Cleveland Browns traded quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2026 fifth-round draft pick. Pickett had originally been in the mix for the Browns’ starting job but missed his chance after a hamstring injury in training camp. With Joe Flacco now leading the offense, Cleveland is confident in rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders, who both showed enough promise in preseason to make Pickett expendable.

Las Vegas made the move after backup Aidan O’Connell fractured his wrist, leaving Geno Smith without a reliable No. 2. Rookie Cam Miller filled in, but the Raiders wanted someone with more NFL experience. For Cleveland, Sanders displayed strong potential before his own injury, while Gabriel impressed with his mobility and command despite some costly turnovers.
